Easter Lilies

Special care: Keep plants watered regularly and keep soil well drained. Plants in bloom need a lot of water and prefer a well-lit location out of direct sunlight. Remove the yellow anthers to prevent staining of white petals. To reflower the next season, continue to water it until foliage matures, then plant outside in late spring. Lilies can be very toxic to cats, so please keep away from your kittys. They are not however toxic to other animals or people.

75 Years!

Shamrocks

Did you know that the proper name for Shamrocks is Oxalis. They do not only come in Green with white flowers. This year we have other varieties as well. Red Shamrocks have pinks or white blossoms and the Iron Cross have a black center on the green leaves. They are the most delicate plant but will flower yearly with correct care.

Valentine's Day on Sunday??

The fact that Valentine's Day falls on Sunday this year followed by a National Holiday and Spring Break creates a special challange for us! Where as some florists would take a conservative approach, we are going "full steam ahead". Customers who come to our store expect a fully stocked and staffed store and that is what they will get again this year. In addition we will even be open on Sunday for those last minute cupids!!

This year we are trying a new approach to the Holidays. We are no longer Teleflora, but are now FTD. We thought long and hard this fall and decided to try to build our Holiday arrangements around our own creative ideas instead of wire service. We have done this for all other floral occassion and have always heard that we should do our own for all occasions. We are hoping that those of you who have made such requests will be happy with what we have created this year. Happy Holidays to All!!! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
